I currently work for the Herald Sun. My last role was with News Corp Australia in the Community & Regional network. I spent about a year and a half furthering my expertise in news before I transferred to the role that I have now.

Connecting with journalists of varying skills across the country, I was lucky to be sent on work trips to upskill our talented writers in places such as Cairns and Geelong. I had the opportunity to partake in a special study program known as the Digital News Academy, ran by Melbourne Business School in collaboration with Google and News Corp Australia, where I spent 9 months learning extra ways that we can digitise our news (no matter where you are). I’ve learnt from leading industry experts, shared my knowledge with editorial teams across the country and now I get the pleasure of working for one of Australia’s biggest metropolitan newspapers. I feel extremely blessed to have this opportunity.

Before I got here, I studied a Bachelor of Media and Communications, majoring in journalism. I spent the majority of my studies at La Trobe University, Melbourne. I also completed a semester of my studies abroad at Louisiana State University, USA.

Throughout my studies and my work in the professional world, I’ve questioned what field of work I’ve enjoyed (and excelled at). Although I liked majoring in Journalism, I came to recognise that my degree in media can take me anywhere.

This is why I began to teach myself simple storytelling and animation as a side hobby. I’ve also worked on my graphic design skills.

I worked with a credible studio and incredibly experienced individuals in the entertainment industry both on set and in post production. I’ve had well-rounded experience in journalistic, marketing and social media writing, broadcast production (video and audio), and graphics/motion graphic design.

I’m an outgoing, confident and very organised being. I enjoy working in teams and I love to work in fast paced environments.
